Juniperus virgiana

Cedarwood oil is extracted from various parts of the evergreen Eastern Red Cedar tree. This tree is native to the eastern region of the United States. This tree has been used for centuries in the North American continent. Native Americans used this tree to make their canoes, tools, and other various items. This tree has been used to build closets, as its aroma deters moths. As an essential oil, cedarwood has antispasmodic, anti-inflammatory, and anti-fungal properties. Its aroma can be calming, grounding, and comforting.
